Frequently asked questions
From what age can you start at Bieganowska Music Academy?
We start playing with music from the age of 4 — the youngest children (4–6) are welcome at our early music education classes. There is no upper age limit: we teach children, teenagers, adults and seniors.
Are lessons individual or in groups?
All lessons are individual, one-to-one. The level, programme and pace are tailored to each student.
Where do lessons take place?
At two locations in Warsaw: Praga-Południe (Soho, ul. Mińska 25, close to Warszawa Wschodnia station and the Stadion Narodowy metro) and Mokotów (Sadyba, ul. Bobrowiecka 1A). We also teach online.
How do I find you?
In Praga-Południe, look for the grey office building in the Soho complex at ul. Mińska 25 — the entrance is from ul. Mińska and the reception is up the steps. In Mokotów, we are in building A at ul. Bobrowiecka 1A (the building belongs to the embassy) — the entrance is from ul. Beethovena.
Can I take lessons online?
Yes. We teach online students living outside Warsaw, outside Poland and even outside Europe.
Do I need any experience to start?
No. We teach from the very first notes — both complete beginners and those who want to develop their skills.
What does the first consultation look like?
Depending on the student's age, the consultation lasts 30 or 45 minutes, including 5 minutes for a conversation with the student or parent. The first consultation is offered at a promotional price — 50% off.
How long is a lesson?
Lessons for adults last 45 minutes. Lessons for children last 30 minutes (including 5 minutes set aside for a conversation) or 45 minutes.
How much do lessons cost?
A lesson for adults (45 minutes) costs between 130 and 150 PLN, depending on the chosen package. Adults can buy a package of 4, 8 or 12 lessons or single lessons; the larger the package, the lower the price per lesson. A lesson for children costs 110 PLN (30 minutes) or 140 PLN (45 minutes).
Can I cancel a lesson?
Yes. A lesson can be cancelled no later than 7:00 pm on the day before. A lesson cancelled later is treated as having taken place.
Do I need a piano at home to start piano lessons?
Not at the beginning. It is worth checking first whether piano lessons are right for you or your child. If you decide to buy an instrument, we will gladly advise you.
Can I combine singing with piano lessons?
Yes, singing lessons can be combined with learning to play the piano.
Do you organise student concerts?
Yes. Once or twice a year we organise a student concert, and for adults also social karaoke evenings.
Can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes. A voucher can be used for singing, piano or other lessons at our school. Write to us and we will prepare a voucher for the package of your choice.
In which languages do you teach?
In Polish; vocal lessons can also be conducted in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
